Brooks falls
Brooks Falls is the Bear Camp Records “house band”, comprised of BCR founders Carl Michnovicz, Ethan Quinn, Harrison Park, and Mayr Sawyer. Formed in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Brooks Falls serves as an opportunity for its members to take a break from their main projects to let loose and make some bangers.
Their debut EP, That’s Great That’s Good, was released on New Year’s Day, 2021.
Étale
Étale is a NY/NJ-based progressive rock/metal band consisting of drummer Russell Boeger, bassist and lead vocalist James Myer, and guitarist Eli Shifrin, with Carl Michnovicz of Bear Camp Records contributing additional writing, instrumentals, and mixing/mastering.
With influences ranging from jazz to folk to death metal, Étale’s debut album, “Phynai”, is an ambitious first effort, spanning an array of genres. “Phynai” is the first of a two-album concept, and will be released in February 2023 via Bear Camp Records.
Étale will spend the rest of 2023 recording their second album and performing live.
Ghost Grace
Ghost Grace is a Brooklyn-based indie rock band featuring Emerson Obus (guitar/vocals), Ethan Quinn (guitar/vocals), Carl Michnovicz (bass), and Thor Lichtenstein (drums). Since forming in summer 2018, they’ve played in various venues around NYC, showcasing their vibrant guitar pop with songs about youthful passion and endless summers. They are currently recording their debut album, to be released in summer 2021.
Quiet Car
Shore Lights
Shore Lights is the solo project of Bear Camp co-founder Ethan Quinn, with the help of the compositional and production expertise of Carl Michnovicz. Spanning a diverse range of influences from 80s synth pop to shoegaze and post-rock to African funk and desert blues, Shore Lights seeks to make music that occupies a distinct dreamlike and nostalgic space while remaining down-to-earth and groovy.
Their first full-length album, Return, was released on October 30, 2020.
Visible Crowd
Kevin Quinn is a songwriter from Long Island, New York and a long-time friend of the Bear Camp Crew. Having spent his whole life pretending he was a musician, he finally decided to risk his reputation and create his own music. He and fellow Bear Camp alum Carl Michnovicz are working on their debut album under their project titled Visible Crowd. The album, "Let it Fall Away", will be released later this year through Bear Camp Records. Stay tuned.
